What is AI?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a broad term covering a variety of complex information systems.
These systems are designed to replicate and improve upon human thought. These systems are built using machine learning algorithms and human-generated data, creating a node network from which to grow a digital mind.

Purpose of AI
Artificial intelligence is meant to bear the weight of collective human intellect. These systems are being created as a digital extension of humanity. AI does not share our cognitive limits
like memory or personal emotion. Whereas humans must learn painstakingly from experience and sustained effort, AI only needs the data and digital environment to process from.


AI can be as simple as an LLM (large language model), designed merely to mimic human speech patterns for human interaction. AI can also be as complex and capable as an Agent which
has limited access to multiple programs, environments, and data sources.

Creation of AI
Like human intelligence, AI is always changing, learning, and adapting to its environment.


Through the parameters and data set given by its developers, AI builds an understanding of its limited environment with supervision. The level of supervision depends on the goal of the AI being created. Supervised training utilizes carefully curated data in a controlled environment. Unsupervised training allows the AI to process data without guidance. Deep learning allows the AI in training to from its own layered network to sort complex data. Reinforcement learning teaches through trial and error, rewarding desired behavior.

Ultimate goal for AI
As of now, AI is still very limited. There are three stages of AI development:
Narrow AI (limited and specialized), AGI (General intelligence), and ASI (Super intelligence); able to surpass humans in every field of thought.
